So I had post earlier about not getting pedal even after bleeding brakes. So the consensus was I didn’t bench bleed it and that was the problem. I took the master off and bled and now I have pedal. Now when I push the brakes the power ***ist pedal goes down and stays down. The motor is a blueprint 383 with a healthy cam. Do I need to get a vacuum canister to get enough vacuum for the booster?

Isn't that something? 54 looked and no reply? I'm going to say no.
    50% chance I'm right.

The pedal usually comes back up with the engine off. So I doubt it’s a lack of vacuum. More likely a fault in the booster. I guess I’m ***uming the pedal has a return spring.

There is a rod between the master cylinder and the booster. Have you tried adjusting the rod either way ?

  6. If you're in a big hurry and don't want to run diagnostics, gamble whatever it costs for the vacuum cannister and maybe you'll get lucky. If you're wrong, start the long process.
