From the land of - was it really worth the effort?

 

I think old cars just came rusty. This picture claims to be 1955, that one piece hood is less that 15 years old in 1955.

 

In the '50s during the summer there were lots of car hoods along the highways going through Arizona Nevada, & California. Vegas was a wide spot in the road. (not very wide)

 

Why were the hoods there?
Were they from old jalopies that overheated, and the owners didn't care much about the cars so threw them away?

No one had electric fuel pumps. Vapor lock was a real thing. Cooling systems were far less efficient and cars over heated a lot. The hoods were not all old.

 

That's why we were given opposable thumbs, for Pete's sake!

 

Maybe they used them as taboggans?

If you look closely at what each person is doing while "building" this engine, you will see they have been sprayed liberally with "essence of ********". The funny part of this video is that we are expected to believe this AI trash!
