  1. You are determined to make it work, starting with rusty, crusty sheet metal. Good for you.

Some more progress . First few pictures are of the quarter panel tie in along with the front part of wheel arch . Hard to tell what you’re looking at I know but look long enough you’ll figure it out LOL Next pics are of the rear bulkhead framework . I installed the rear parcel shelf , welded in the main centre section of the bulkhead and temporarily installed the left and right panels . Have a look !

So here I am in the thick of it now . This rear right fender must be off a 37-40 ford as it don’t fit for s**t . Very fast arc to the profile . So cut, cut, cut it all apart and s***ch it all back together .

built a wire form buck on fender and wheeled up new panels to better fit the wheel . Coming along nicely !

I agree. This sort of thing is the main reason I'm on here every day.

My favorite type of HAMB build as well. Don't know how I previously missed it! Lookin good. I'll look forward to following along.
Your gut determination is admirable. You're making good use of that long Canadian Winter. Any idea how many hours you have into it?

Had to remove and repair some of the door skin . To thin to weld to . Also had to split the door skin remove a small wedge and weld back together for alignment. Must be done when you chop a roof . IMG_1944.jpeg IMG_1945.jpeg IMG_1946.jpeg IMG_1947.jpeg IMG_1948.jpeg IMG_1949.jpeg IMG_1950.jpeg

Previously welded in the roof insert using a 1951 Chevy coupe roof section fully welded it in and then leaded the seams View attachment 6607979 IMG_2003.jpeg IMG_2002.jpeg IMG_2004.jpeg IMG_2005.jpeg

The doorbell line to quarter panel belt line body profile was off by 3/16 of an inch had to cut it out. Make a new piece to get the alignment corrected IMG_2006.jpeg IMG_2007.jpeg IMG_2008.jpeg IMG_2009.jpeg IMG_2012.jpeg

    Put a lot of the main body into primer just for motivational purposes it always looks a lot better in one colour don’t you think IMG_2034.jpeg IMG_2035.jpeg IMG_2036.jpeg IMG_2037.jpeg IMG_2038.jpeg IMG_2040.jpeg IMG_2034.jpeg IMG_2035.jpeg IMG_2036.jpeg IMG_2037.jpeg IMG_2038.jpeg IMG_2040.jpeg

I like the dedication to this project, lots of metalwork coming together.

But FYI, posting your MII front suspension pictures is going to get your build kicked off of the main page.

I'll definitely be watching as it comes together. The primered areas really do look like they came together well. And neat to see some lead bodywork being done, that's one thing I've always wanted to try but never have yet.

Funny you would mention the lead work . I to always wondered about trying it . This was my first attempt at it. I have 6 pounds of lead left and I will be doing more on the body as time moves forward.
