    New Departure 909701
I see listings, but nobody has one.
Little help? I can accept a used one, as I really just need a good cage.

If you want gennie New Departure, you're gonna need to find NOS.

If you just want a B01 bearing, you can buy them...here's rockauto stock?

I had already searched Rockauto under 1939 Pontiac Series 25 and came up empty. With your input I searched by P/N and see what you’re seeing, but a little fuzzy on it. I’m unaware of the “B01” designation. They appear to be tapered bearings ? I ***ume they would fit as a direct replacement. Can I mix them with the original inner bearings?

They are ball bearings. It was pretty common for replacement bearings to use the last two digits of the ND number. That bearing was used for many, many GM cars/trucks 1930s-60s. I looked in my old Chevy parts book for 1956 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, it listed the same 909701 part number as you specified.

@302GMC These are similar but bigger ball bearings, not tapered roller bearings like we are accustomed to seeing

We are currently enduring two days of winter. I will bundle up, put on some heated socks and a parka so I can go into the garage and carefully measure my old bearings and drum.

The original ND bearings have part numbers on all the pieces, as well. Replacements, not so much.
