Did any Hambers win any lots from the RM/Sotheby's Auburn Fall auction in 2020 that featured the late, great Bill Akin's collection? Specifically, the Weslake Plymouth engine and his Model A roadster?
I ***ume that you are talking about this sale. I bought some distributors there A few grant flame throwers and a roto faze. There were a lot of great parts there.. I did not attend that year but typically did. My buddy Guffey bid stuff for me https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/af20/lots/#?SortBy=Default&page=1&pageSize=40
I didn’t see it listed but he had a stock appearing Dodge Dart with Gurney Weslake heads and Halibrand real knock off wheels that he made the adapters for. His place was a treasure trove of Offy engines and parts. You could only stare, slack jawed in amazement. I can imagine that the Offy stuff in the sale was his. Then there was the 29 roadster with the Ford Indy DOHC , the Medley HRM 32 roadster, and the 40 coupe with the Weber carbed BBC. Overload!
