I have been having some success with cutting curved glass so if anybody needs a windshield cut in the bay area give me a shout and we'll work something out! You would have to have it marked where you want it cut ...and of course I can't guarantee it won't crack...but like I said ...I have been doing good.
yeah I know...I will probably do that when I cut my next one! Some guys just aren't comfortable doing their own.
I cut my first 37 in a row with success......then broke 6 or 7, can't remember was so pissed.............OLDBEET
I know there has been threads on this before, but any advice you can lend would be great, gotta get mine cut very soon.
you know you'll be cuttin mine when I get to it hopefully in the next 10 years, geez. Almost wrapped up with the chop, but now it's on hold till our house sells.
I'll be in touch bro, I'm getting ready to chop my 55 ford truck ( e-mail me your number ). See ya at the party next month.
Saw a tech piece years ago here on cutting using a sand blaster. Is that how you are doing it, brewsir?
No I have a new and improved method that is much faster...I will post a tech on it when I cut the windshield for my chevy....of course once i do everyone will be doing them themselves...oh well thats what this board is all about!
I realize this is an old post but I am interested in having you give it a try. Can you drill holes? I need to round the corners on the top (does not need to be exact, it will be used on a convertible) and drill 4 holes. I am located over in Concord. I even have a broken windshield to practice on. marklet2002@gmal.com
