Procedure would be about the same to get a trunk to replace rumble seat.

I don't see a match on the 40 Ford charts for this color although this is possibly due to old color charts and the shift of color over time as well as viewing them on a laptop.... at least on the charts I referred to. I've seen this color on 40's before or at least something very close. Just a great color. If anyone knows the name and number I would appreciate the help.

 

^^^^^ That color doesn’t appear on the recently posted Ford for 1940 color chart on page 334 of this thread.

 

'40 Ford Sahara Tan would probably be the closest to that color.

 

....Looks more like a base coat/ clear coat version of Folkstone Gray.
