Buffalonians look on in awe as the a Rocket belt propells a man up and across Lafayette Square in 1965! The demonstration showcased the possibilities of the new futuristic technology. The Rocket Bell or "Jetpack" was first successfully tested at Bell Aerosystems in Buffalo in 1961. The same year this demonstration took place the device was used in the James Bond movie "Thunderball"
