    I can't get over the level of detail on these dragsters. They are as nice as show cars, inside and out. I have one question though on this one, what is hanging off the front axle? Counterweight? Stabilizer?

    Yes, weight for wheel stands. As tires and clutches improved, the front ends got lighter. Eventually the ch***is would either get lengthened or replaced by a newer, longer one.

    I see the "A" at Goodguys Pleasanton every year but have never seen the Fiat. does he drive the "A" from Sonora?

    I don't know how the A gets to Good Guys but I've seen it here in Nevada at his dad's. His dad built the first version of the Topolino in SOCAL in the '60s. It is a daily driver here. I think he & Mike built the yellow T together when Mike was in high school or maybe before. Mike has been doing this his whole life and he is GOOD at it.
