This annual event hosted 1st Sunday after Christmas by the Horseless Carriage Club of So Cal, with @Pete Eastwood as, well I don't know what his official ***le is, Emcee? Official? Anyway Pete is the main guy, and the event is an outgrowth of family holiday drives that has grown into what it is today, which is a meeting place where everyone gathers, than a tour for '32 and earlier cars (in stock condition, no modifieds or hot rods, but speedsters are OK). The cars that gather for the event are some of the coolest cars you'll ever see; they are the stars of the show and the hot rods that show up are cool, but the tour cars get all the attention (as they should), and the crowds around them were so thick that I couldn't get any decent photos of them other than a couple (apparently nobody was interested in the Stanley Steamer). I forgot my camera, had the camera bag sitting next to the front door but I walked right by and out the door and forgot to pick it up. So all I had was my cel phone for photos.
Super clean Model A hot rod here, full of details that don't come across is these photos. In person, the more you look at it, the more details you see. Really, really well done. Major kudos to this builder. And I wasn't alone in my appreciation of it, while I was oggling it so was Bruce Myers and some of his buds. The photos don't do these cabs justice, In person they really jumped out at you. The chromed hardware against the blasted finish was spectacular, really popped. Speaking of BRuce Myers, yeah he had 3window Larry's coupe there. Such a great hot rod.
3WLARRY'S coupe still looks great, man I miss Larry's banter.HRP Larry behind the wheel of his ol coupe.
