Lol you know I'm joking. Gonna put the 5 speed in, line lock, and slicks. That's about it ;)

Unbelievable. When I ran it at London drag strip, it had the .450 lift cam, 3.73 gear, and the 650 Holley vacuum secondary. Now it's coming on strong. That video was just a hit because Dave wanted to see it, but there was traffic ahead of me. Earlier that day I brought it off from a dead stop at 3500 and it pulled hard. TJ is gonna bring his draggie? to see what it shows ET wise. But you know how that is lol. I have a set of 28x10 and 30x9 slicks, and tmrw I'm gonna order a set of 29x9's. Probably need to order a 4.56 center section and put the 30" on it. Once I put the 5 speed in it, with 28" street tires, it should do fine on the interstate. But I think it'll run a 7.30-7.50 with slicks on it. Could be wrong

If you like how it launches now, Calculate your overall 1st gear ratio now. Then calculate tire size and gear ratios that keeps your overall 1st gear ratio where you want it with the new transmission. Now check the cruise rpm for highway speeds with that combination. Even with 31” tires I didn’t like where the 4.56s put my cruise RPM so I’ll start with the 3.50 gears in mine and adjust from there. But if your launch is good now, keep what works. Don’t change too many variables at once or it becomes more difficult to get things sorted out.

I was going back and making sure I hadn’t missed anything. I’m confused about this sticker. Is that bragging about being a drag racer that lives in a mobile home? My wife said it’s for cars that don’t get driven. But I told her people on the HAMB always drive their toys. Right?

Lmao! It's me calling Bill's car a trailer queen. All show, no go. Pretty. Look but don't touch my show car. You know what I'm talking about now? Right? :D:D:D

I knew. I just didn’t want to tell my wife she was right. Let alone ask why she was reading over my shoulder. But surely Bill doesn’t haul his car around on a trailer? I saw him putting sound deadened on his floorboard in another thread. Surely he can’t have that much money as to worry about making the car quieter while riding on the trailer.

Around these parts I call that project creep. My 51 started out as a mild mannered hot rod. But as the engine project creeped a little it has to have a cage and a tilt front to get to the engine. Now it sounds like I’ll need a line lock and slicks to keep up. At least it doesn’t need a two step to build boost.
