Hey my name Ezra. My dad and I started a model t build about 2 years ago. We are planning to get to T.R.O.G 2026. Some of the parts that are that we are using are.
    • 1926/27 model t coupe body
    • A model a ch***is
    • A ford y block 272
    • A model a Anson drop axle
    • 1942-48 split wishbones
    • 1946 Lincoln overdrive
    • 1935 ford wire wheels
We were planning to have it at the Old North State Invitational 2025 but we were not able to make it. Some of the things that were planning to do to the body is to chop it 3in. I plan to have the car running by August.

    Photos are on the way.

TROG rules require ohv engines 1953 and older, yblocks entered service in 1954
Nice car though and yblocks forever baby

You can run 1954 overhead valve engine Trog. You have to go to early ohv section of the rules

The way I read it, it’ll be a 239 or 254, the ‘54 versions. Neat idea.

We are running 1957 272. I think that you run a later engine if the engine family started in 1954.

3" makes for a fairly mild chop on a T coupe.

TROG have let a Cadillac sand rail in which led a near catastrophic accident. Unable to stop at the end with brakes on just one rear wheel . Anything after 1953 does not fit in . Cool T coupe though. Had a flathead one and let it go with regret now.

We welded in the front cross member so we could add more strength in the front of the car

It's good to see you using ear, eye and hand protection, but a word of caution, you get a spark in one of those tennis shoes you will doing a real dance. Ask me I know, when I was doing a lot welding where I worked, I put leather flaps to cover the front of my boots. It's good to see a young man taking up this hobby. Good luck with your project.

Thanks. I have done that before but I've never got a spark in my tennis shoes. Lately I've been wearing vans which is not any better.

Don't chop it - Wear your stovepipe and go racing.

We're chopping it to make it look more proportional like a Model A

Would suggest covering those open cylinders on that motor... You'd be surpised how much grit & **** is just flying around in your fabrication area!! Would definitely save having to clean the grinding grit out of that engine later, unless, of course it's coming apart anyway...

  27. Vans are all that I wear. And I always buy the same ones. Few fews here that know me personally that probably think I've been wearing one pair of shoes the last couple years straight lol
