I hope to have my 32 5 window on the road this year but may not happen due to moving, remodel on the new to us house and hopefully getting a shop built by March/April. The 32 will likely be my last build. When purchasing the new property my son's first words were: Dad, do you realize how OLD you are? Guess not. As with all cars you purchase you find many things you want and need to change and this one is no different, I just hoped it was!
Changing the door latches back to original from bear claws that poke me in the back, rear cross member hack with a torch, bad coilover mounts and out of alignment, glued in windshield (going back with framed original type), new header panel above windshield ( thank goodness for United Pacific) and etc, etc, etc, etc! But it is fun. 325wFrontSide.jpg

“El presidente” would be a good name for the car.

A friend had one of those for many years. Also a white 1956. He told me once that when they were new and cost $3,000 he couldn't afford one. Later when they got to $30,000 he could afford it.

I failed to mention the "road trip" part of this post..... Two of my friends and I will be making the trek to LARS over Fathers Day, provided we all have finished rides by then. Should be a great drive from wonderful downtown Idaho to Pomona. My buds have been going down for many, many, years, and I for many, but this time it's all fun, no work....... Yahooooooo!!!! Stay tuned, maybe they will post the *****'n critters they will be driving.... They both put my little 'bird to shame !!!!

You're right, it would be !! I'm not a fan of "vanity" plates, but I did get a set for the 'bird.... By the way, my favorite plates were not even personalized plates... I was walking into the office building where my wife worked, and saw two very pregnant women standing behind a car in the parking lot. Right between them was a old California black/yellow plate with read "ICU 812"... Go figure...... My long time friend, Shakey Jake, a pinstriper from So Cal, used to buy plates from CA DMV and give them out with striping jobs, since you couldn't sell them. He had some great ones, but my favorite was actually two. He had a Chevy van and added a recess for a second plate in the back. His plates read "MY PLACE" and "OR YOURS"..... Another friend had a '70 Corvette with "IAM2EZ" and a '56 Ford PU with "RUEZ2". Bird plate.jpg

I had to Google "pajaro." Great plate; especially seeing as how the car used to be in Mexico.

I would like to see this one on the track this year but I think that's going to be a stretch.

had back surgery November 10, still on extremely limited lifting restrictions, like 10lb maximum.
goal is to get back to a reasonable level, get my 50 chevy truck finished enough to register and drive, and get the garage cleaned and organized enough to bring the wife's 60 Lincoln Continental Convertible home from storage, It has not been driven: in at least 5 years, I am aware it has at least one rusted out brake line but is otherwise in good condition, but given it is about 20 foot long the garage is going to be a challenge to rearrange.

Finish a Divorce , start fresh . My project is my Tiger , been gathering parts for months . Parents health has had me very busy for a few months . I’m the only son, and they changed lots of diapers for me . It’s my turn to serve their needs as best as I possibly can .

My old stocker has set for a while. I decided it needed a little more fun under the hood. Hopefully it'll be back on the road in a few months.

I acquired this project a couple of months ago. 1964 Stude that spent the last 15 plus years sitting out in someone’s yard. I’ve gotten it running and drove it around the block, but needs a lot to be “roadworthy “.

Okay, since Nick posted it, I can talk about it. I had the pleasure of watching as that little 327 was working out on the dyno..... That was last year, and the hair is still standing on the back of my neck !!!! Hopefully, this is one of the ********* heading to LARS this year !!!

They don't do me much good right now buddy. I haven't driven a car since early September. Eyes, depth perception and balance are all over the shop. I'm working on it. Ironic aint it? The irony is not lost on me, a garage full of cars and I can't drive em. This too shall p***.

I’m planning on driving the wheels off of my Tudor and woodie. I’ve spent most of the past year getting the things running and reliable so there is no excuse for not driving them!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, getting up and walking farther than the bathroom would be good, not my planned winter project, (back problems) my cars are ready, willing and able, me not so much.

I need to finish the wiring and need some gl*** and tidy up some more things, but I'd more than happy getting the ol 47 moving under it's own power
