My friend plan to Customize his 53' Chevy, by putting' 55' Buick tail light on it, I have found only one photo of such a thing, I looking for more, maybe someone has done it before and has some cool pictures for our references.
Hello, The 1955 Buick taillights look a little large and bulky on that Chevy sedan. I found one that has a 1956 Buick tail light and it still gives good braking lights and looks less bulky. It looks as if it came from the factory that way. Our dad had a long line of Buick sedans as his daily driver. The tail light also gave a great red light rear accent at night and stopping. But for some, it was a little large. Jnaki So, the thinner 1956 Buick Tail Lights seem to fit better and not be so obnoxious in the larger chrome lights. Plenty of red for braking and night lights. A good backup light(s) to boot. I did some art work on a lowered truck and added some custom 1956 Buick tail lights into the rear of the drawing. It looks as if it was originally a part from the factory. YRMV
55 and 56 Buick headlights are on consideration, I will work on Photoshop to see how 56 and 56 works on Lowered Chevy coupe.
It's a matter of personal preference. I don't think they look bad by any stretch, but whether there are better options is also a legitimate question. The 55 Buick is big and bulky, whereas the 54 Chevy is more trim. The stylistic weight of the Buick parts on the Chevy can look heavy, and probably needs to be balanced out in front.
57Joe…..so what do you consider the hundreds of custom Chev’s, Ford’s ..etc with 56 Parkard tail lights if not big a bulky! Justaskin’..
