Beautiful work. The color looks very vintage, sort of cordovan. Does it match or is it based on a specific model year/color? I like it.

I mixed the color myself... I'd had it in mind for a long time. But my love for Swiss chocolate certainly had a big influence as well.

That's really nice from s****s ! Lol We were on vacation in Switzerland this past September beautiful country . Everyone was very nice there we went to Zermatt, Grindelwald , and Lucerne then Zurich. Nice train rides.

Nice Smilestone...congratulations @tom-oldi ...are those amber lights bright enough for night driving. You guys probably have deer everywhere too...you need all the light you can get. I went from old twenties big car lights to Hi/Lo sealed beam 2D1's clear not tinted...and was pretty impressed with much more confidence too.

The amber lights are H4, not sealed beam, they have a brithe warm light

Truly beautiful car. Great execution there.

I used to help my dad with plumbing work when I was a kid. Copper pipe was still very much in use, pre-PVC, and I really enjoy soldering it all together. Never thought of incorporating copper into a car ... until NOW. LOL.

 

You start the threads saying you built a car from s****s and bits and pieces in your spare time .

then presents this work of art !!!

Means a lot to me, especially since I’ve put a ton of hours into this car.
Just to mention it – not all the parts from my shop looked like this when I started.
A lot of stuff was in pretty rough shape. Everything has been reworked and restored by me.
I’ll take some more photos soon for those who are interested.
Right now I’m still finishing up the hood. It’s not 100% done yet, but it’s getting there.
