New Edelbrock and Offy 2x2 intakes go for $500 +/- $100 depending on the vendor, sale, etc. Used 2x2 intakes on every ones favorite auction site range from $200 to $600 depending on condition, age, brand, etc. Does the Nicson name add any value? What does good condition mean? How fast do you want to sell it?
Depends on the engine. Near as I can tell Cadillac manifolds go for nearly double that of Oldsmobile and y block.
Nicson was the only one who made the 2x2 all others made 2x1, 2x3, 2x4, 2x6. Yes Nicson adds Value cause it was only them who manufactured it. Good condition meaning no cracks, pitting, no repairs etc. not selling looking to buy if I come up upon one.
I am fairly certain others made 2x2 intakes as well. If the Offy I have hanging in my garage isn't a 2x2, I am really confused.
depends on what engine you want one for. edmunds also made them. i have a couple for a 241/270 dodge hemi. i've seen nicson for a sbc
Ah! That is a bit of helpful information. I heard Nicson and ***umed Ford Flathead. Funny how our internal biases come out.
Image in the OP pretty much tells you what engine he's talking about. These Nicson 2 x 2 intakes are rare as hens teeth. More valuable for the rarity than for the performance.
Anytime I heard Nicson I thought marine pieces. Interesting thread https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/does-anyone-have-an-old-nicson-catalog.787236/
The only one I’ve ever seen for sale in my entire life was last November and the price has been deleted now that it’s sold but it was over a thousand dollars for just the intake. I would ***ume if you could find a good one to expect a price on it around $1500

Got a couple of Rochester carbs and ran it on my roadster for a couple years, then sold it off for 1500 bucks to a guy in New York who put it on his model, a coupe. I'd pay 500 bucks for another one if I saw one.
Yeah, only his post was later edited to add that image and SBC so at first, we didn't have a clue to which intake he was talking about
I was quoted a price of $ 1200 on one last year. I p***ed on it as I would like to have gotten it, but I couldn't justify the cost.
And to the left is a rare Schaller “Double Lobe” camshaft, also known as a quarter speed cam. Three HTF items in one photo, makes me wonder what else was in that guy’s stash.
