I picked this up cleaning out my mother-in-law's storage unit a couple of months ago.

1930s pinball - pre-flippers, when they actually had pins all over the field to bounce the ball off of and into the holes for points- hence the origin of the name I believe!

My dad said when he was about 14, which would have been in ‘53, that he was with my grandfather dumping trash at the city dump and found it laying there. It sat on the end of my grandfather’s ba*****t workbench til I was a teenager when my dad let me take it home. Had to make 3 legs and install a transformer for the lights. Still works great - only a nickel for 10 balls! I need to get it of the attic

1959 Seeburg 222. I made the can and traded some metal work for the neon border on the ice-cream sign.

I should've collected automobilia rather than soda bottles back in the 70s when I started collecting but most of the 4000+ bottles I now have I got for free. These are obviously just a few that my wife allows in the house.

  10. Couple of signs over my bar.The MEN sign was over the men's washroom at a local drive-in theater that's long gone.Circa 1950's.And the CHARGEX sign is from the '60's,would have been on the wall near the cash register. 20260113_020310.jpg

Everything cool that I find I sell.
I have a obsession with not keeping nice things.
It's the hunt. Once I've found a item it no longer interests me.

Super happy with that little machine. A bit intimidated at first, rarely had a laid hand on a lathe since high school metal shop, that was a long time ago! Nice guy that I bought it from was upgrading to a larger machine, came to my shop and helped me get it leveled, running, and gave me some lathe lessons. Not so intimidated any more but I am a "sneak up on it" kind of machinist. Got quite a bit of tooling with it as well.

I found one driving through I think it was Texas awhile back. I was so surprised I had to stop and take a picture!

My grandfather was a very talented craftsman, much like many of you on this forum! Here’s a photo of the model ship he built as a young man. I remember it as a small kid, unfortunately he sold it to a collector. I do have the medallion though. As well as his stagecoach model that I need to clean up and do few repairs …

If anybody can shed some light on the Hurst shifter handle I'd appreciate it. Weighs legitimately about 5 lbs but is regular size. Dunno if it's something some kid made in high school or what....

I really like the Bunny Bread sign! When I was little, Mom made some Nestle Quick strawberry milk; I saw the bunny on the container (a steel square can with a push-in cap - you don't see those anymore!) and always called it Bunny Milk after that.
