I am a detail geek. I study things. I like polished, painted, chromed and finely detailed engines. I spend way too much time obsessing over this stuff.

Post up pics of your FE in full on man jewelry.

This is a timely thread. I've been looking at a '63 Galaxie 500XL convert. Fairly fresh engine rebuild but it does need some under-hood help. Nothing wild, just want to bump up the neatness and cool factor on a budget.
If I pull off a purchase, I too will need ideas and inspiration. So thanks guys and keep 'em coming!

Mine are all in OT stuff, but here's the first iteration of the 390 in my F100 before I dropped it in. It's a lot shinier now.

Here is the 360 horse 352 that was available in 1960. With that unicorn air cleaner to boot.

I can promise mine will have way more time in it, than can be appreciated, but I will know it and that's all that matters. :D

I have noticed that most FE's I see, all follow the same look. I don't know if it is lack of aftermarket goodies or just the unspoken rule that all FE's are supposed to look like they came out of an OT Mustang.

  18. As near as I can tell, owner Bill Wetstone left the engine compartment dead stock in the original. He drove this car (in crummy weather no less) and I don't recall ever seeing a picture of it with the hood open.

Oh I just love a good looking FE,... in my cases I preferred the non-bling look and more of a factory look.

    (Used a 57 T-bird AC)

Always looking for the one year only 352/360 AC... quite rare.anyone got one for sale.... hit me up.

I prefer a black FE... not a fan of the Ford Corporate Blue.

Very nice, and shows that it's not necessary to start out with a mega $ FE to create a really *****'n mill.....

Who makes the finned aluminum valve covers without breather holes, I still have the downdraft systems. Thanks
