This is a timely thread. I've been looking at a '63 Galaxie 500XL convert. Fairly fresh engine rebuild but it does need some under-hood help. Nothing wild, just want to bump up the neatness and cool factor on a budget.
If I pull off a purchase, I too will need ideas and inspiration. So thanks guys and keep 'em coming!

 

Mine are all in OT stuff, but here's the first iteration of the 390 in my F100 before I dropped it in. It's a lot shinier now.

I can promise mine will have way more time in it, than can be appreciated, but I will know it and that's all that matters.

I have noticed that most FE's I see, all follow the same look. I don't know if it is lack of aftermarket goodies or just the unspoken rule that all FE's are supposed to look like they came out of an OT Mustang.

 

As near as I can tell, owner Bill Wetstone left the engine compartment dead stock in the original. He drove this car (in crummy weather no less) and I don't recall ever seeing a picture of it with the hood open.

Very nice, and shows that it's not necessary to start out with a mega $ FE to create a really *****'n mill.....
