    Zero plane
    Centerline
    Datum
Or length, width, height and 3 box/zone vehicle construction. Center, front and rear. All in that order.

a lot of ugly still to remove from the rails. The plan is to establish original 32 specs then change to fit the A.
Cut the rear rails just behind the cab. Then section the center part of the rails. Remove a 1 inch section from the center, wedge cut the front section of rail. Probably bob the front.
The easiest way would be to fab a new top for the center frame section. Remove the top 2 inches, replace with a 1 inch tall section of bent angle (or a cut section of square/rectangle tubing). That would lower the profile and replace the crusty top portion of the frame.

  17. Cowl parts were successfully separated. Students drilled out the spot welds for the firewall/cowl sides.

How cool is that? I guess that's way better than the old traditional way of packing a tube with sand, heating it where you want the bend, then you and your buddy grab the ends and bend it around a tree.

Best set of cl***es I had was 50 years ago in autobody taught by Oscar Lewis.
Besides skills with the right teacher comes a lot of life lessons for 15-18 year old boys at that time , that remain with them.

I had a really great machine shop teacher in HS. Mr. Lowery. He spent a lot of time "resizing" cigarettes with a band saw that students had in their top pocket. Never realized what a great guy he was until years later after he retired and lived near a friend of mine. I would see him walking his yellow lab and and enjoyed talking to him about everything under the sun. The school district did away with machine shop after he retired.
