    Ok clock wise out of trans is that called left hand or right hand gears because they sell gears either right or left

    What are you working on? All the details...then maybe we can help you figure out yours. Pictures help.

    (I haven't messed with Ford speedometer gears for 10 years, so I'm a bit rusty on their terminology)

    On Ford speedometer driven gears gear pitch is opposite of the side of the transmission that the gear enters. Drivers side or left side of trans uses a right hand pitch gear. P***enger side or right side uses a left hand pitch driven gear.
    Usually it’s only top loaders that enters on the right and have the left hand pitch.
