I was fortunate to find a Stewart Warner pulley mounted tach drive. I don't have the cable for it. It would need to be two, keyed male ends. Looking for recommendations on how can make this cable for me? I would also like to use an old armored cable housing/sheath that I have, but it's too long. Can a speedo shop shorten these?

    Thanks,

Great. Need to install it first so I can get an accurate length of the cable. Once I do, I'll give him a call.

How long do you need it to be? Tractors use mechanical tachs and the cables are fairly inexpensive.

Dorman Help 03368 Universal Speedometer Cable Kit 72" w/ Tip. if this won't work look on ebay lots of premade cables. you may stop by an old simi truck parts place before the early 90's every truck had a cable drive speedo and tach.used to use this cable tool a lot but not much anymore 20260118_085344[1].jpg 20260118_085406[1].jpg

Thanks, all. I'll call Rusty once I get the drive installed and know exactly the length I need. I'm also hoping he can shorten the armored shield too.

    Not a problem at all.
Can make up a new one complete or shorten the existing one.

Great. Thank you. Once I have it and installed, I'll be in touch to finish up with you to make the cable.
