Has anyone or is there a kit to convert Lockhead [42-48 Ford] style brakes to Bendix [41-48 Lincoln] style? Can't just swap to Lincoln as the Lockheed brakes are 9" diameter.

You will have to change backing plates to put Bendix brakes on them. You can't just change hardware on the backing plates.

39-48 Ford Lockheed brakes use 12” drums as do the Lincoln Bendix brakes.

The Lockheed brakes I have are 9" diameter. Can't just swap to Lincoln as the Lockheed brakes are 9" diameter.

Why not find a Lincoln that was in the dryer too long?

  7. International Scouts from 1961-62 used 9" Bendix brakes however they look and operate very similar to the Ford Lockheed brakes. So you're either going to have to go to bigger diameter brakes to get the self energising style or work with what you have.

Jeeps used primarily Dana axles you could look for interchanges from other Dana axle equipped vehicles. Nash used some Dana but also ****er.

Crosley. I have been trying to find 9" brakes from a early falcon/comet from early 60's up, can't find a whole set before they are thrown out when the cars are hot rod'ed. Yes I see bits and pieces on ebay but I would like a matching "set". I do have a set of Lockheed but would like the one better performance of bendix as I don't think the dual bore wheel cylinders are available for the 9" Lockheeds unless the 12" Fords would fit, with out the dual bore I think performance would be hindered.
