This one really is a deal. There's dis***embled Fulton visors in the back seat that would pay for a large part of that asking price if sold off on eBay. Some sheetmetal shaper could make that into a 3 window as a great starting point, or just build a 4 door, that one is actually quite nice looking. I'll be shocked if that listing is still active 3 or 4 days from now.

I think I actually like the 41 Lincoln 4 door sedan better than the Continental, I never was very fond of that roofline.

Absolutely. The continental is convertible material only.

    1954 Buick riviera Coupe 2D $2,500

This thing looks to be in pretty solid shape. Comes with 2 motors and a transmission adapter for a 4 speed!

I'd worry about the torque-tube rear before I got excited about whether it's a post or hardtop. Actually, I think I'd prefer a post. One thing I would do is radius the rear wheel wells and use the hardtop rear side trim.

Imperial Business Coupe? The hood is about twice as long as the p***enger cabin! I'll bet not a lot of these were made. I'm with the O/P.

The Standard Catalog of Chrysler 1924-1990 only shows Chrysler Imperials as 4 door sedans from 1946 - 1948 & early production 1949.
It does however list a Chrysler Saratoga 2 door 3 p***enger coupe with a straight 8 motor from 1946-the early production 1949 (the 49 model year all new cars was late to begin production across the entire Mopar line up, so the early 49 models were 48 model year cars sold as "early production" 49 models).
The production of the Chrysler Saratoga, flathead 8 cylinder, 3 p***enger, 2 door coupe (74 total production). The Saratoga was 6" longer from the cowl forward to accommodate the longer engine.

I suspect the car for sale is a Chrysler Saratoga, not a Chrysler Imperial, if it has a flathead 8 cylinder (the cowl forward looks long). If it has a flathead 6 cylinder, I would suspect its an upscale Chrysler Windsor.

Chrysler also produced a base line Chrysler Royal, flathead 6 cylinder, 3 p***enger, 2 door coupe, (1221 total production).
Chrysler also produced an upscale Chrysler Windsor flathead, 6 cylinder, 3 p***enger, 2 door coupe (1980 total production).

FB did not purchase or build a high quality YMM database. I see all sorts of incorrect listings driven by this. Not the Camero or Galaxy stuff, wrong models. Lots of Ford GTs.

    Hope someone saves it.

here is rare and there is desirable, often those two never meet ..

However I will say its a nice example if you want a crew cab

First time I saw one, I thought it was something "custom", but nope, standard issue:

  27. a bit schizophrenic but I bet it is more comfortable than just an overstuffed bench seat.
