I didn't even look at the outside temp until 9 am this morning, it was -13 then. Currently its a balmy -5, that is warmer then they said it was going to be today. My neighbor across the street has a flag, its been blowing straight out since yesterday afternoon. The reported temps don't count the wind.

Mrs. BB and I went to Lincoln City, OR over the weekend, 63 degrees and sunny. I had to take off the sweatshirt. Stay warm brothers!

Temp is still hanging at 6 degrees F...been there all day. The woodstove is keeping the garage 70 degrees though, and I've accomplished almost nothing but lounging around and looking at this monitor. Geez. :D

Propane company texted the bill for the shop after they filled the tank this morning

178 gallons. Not bad except the temp is set to 45 degrees and I’ve been gone all month..

That’s just shy of $300 / mo when we’re not even home.

Hey, exactly the same here where I am. Loving it at the moment.
The 100 or so (38*C) predicted here for Australia Day might need some extra cold beer though...:D

    I feel like such a lightweight :(

Anyway, it's a good day to stay inside & watch 24 hours of Daytona.

I'm moving to Australia. I didn't sign up for this sh!t. It was 80° here Christmas day, now look at it. I moved from Utah to get away from this. Three years ago in Utah I had 133" for the season. Every time we get bad weather here I get blamed for bringing it with me from Utah.:D Isn't life great!

Well, that was a possibility. :D
But the winds have calmed down a lot this morning, and the flag is no longer straight out, its just kind of hanging there limp. The current temp is still -5, so it sure didn't thaw out over night. Must have been the wind. It almost feels like summer today, compared to yesterday, 20 mph less wind makes a huge difference how that -5 temp feels.

I'm supposed to be in the Keys. Here I am in Minnesota for the "quality medical care". Another one of the "benefits" of getting older.:(

Went up to about 30°f here in Austria after a week in which we were on 17-20°f but it rained last night which meant ice everywhere. Was no fun this morning trying to scratch it off my windshield without slipping and getting hurt in a stupid way.

    Snow is much better:)

20° "feels like 8°F whatever that means.. Steady stream of sleet all day & night has us sitting on a couple inch sheet of ice.
Son & I spent a few hours doing donuts in the church parking lot & doing hot (cold) laps around our place. This stuff is so dense you dont even leave any tire imprints. Neighbors are pulling folks on an inner tube around our circle too.
Good ol times out in the country.
Its not cold enough to bother our Heeler one bit. 20260125_161253.jpg 20260125_102235.jpg
