Just looked outside the shop and it is snowing some and about 20 degrees. And, that gold car was inspiration for my son when he had his chopped 50.

Yep, I remember that. I also remember walking out of the Holiday Inn in Bartlesville one year during the Stray Kat 500 and it being under the awning right outside the door. Beautiful car!

Yea, looks like it’s 8 here and we got maybe an inch of snow last night. I was out in the shop working until 10:00 and most of that snow came before I went in the house.

14* with 2 of snow and sleet on the ground, sleet and freezing rain coming down now and doesn’t look like it will give us a break until nightfall.

Do you have a wood stove in your shop?
My Pops made a 55 gallon double barrel thing that worked real good back in the day

I currently have no heat at all. I do have a gymnasium style gas heater that I need to hang up and plumb in. But, I keep getting distracted by car stuff instead.

As usual, ,the weather man was waaaaay off. 3.5 inches here, but with the temps, it ain't going anywhere for a while. Hopefully the roads will be ok enough by Wed so I can get to the airport and make my flight to the GNRS.

That was S.O.P. as a young guy in LA. Winter didn’t slow down our cruising, we just cranked up the heater in the old car and cruised with the windows down. I put a junkyard heater in one of my cars and plumbed it to blow on the windshield. Leaving my GFs house at night with a fogged up windshield was a bigger problem than the cold.

First time out of the shop in a couple weeks. The snow all melted and the roads are all dry. Good to drive it again.

It’s still icy here, my driveway is still a sheet of ice and the roads are dicey but it is melting slowly. So maybe this next week I’ll be able to get mine out?!?

It’s gona be 60 tomorrow and in the 40’s and 50’s this weekend before getting up to the mid and upper 60’s all next week. I’m so sick and tired of this crud it’s not even funny

So far it’s been 11 days of being on lockdown because of the ice

  22. LOL. In my 89 years I have learned I [ we ] can do naught about the weather. We , today, have the same problems crop up that grandpa did 100 years ago. We DO have far advanced tools to deal with it, the weather, than he.
Will be only a short time until we moan and groan about the heat!

Grab another cuppa and enjoy the day.

    Ben

Pfft, it's currently 16 degrees here, and supposed to snow today, 4 more inches tomorrow, and I'm going to buy a damn BOAT tonight, lol. My wife is convinced I'm an idiot, and I'm starting to be concerned she may have a point....
