Hey guys I'm gonna be bagging a 54 belair with a s10 front clip and 2x3 tubing all the way back. I'm want to use the Detroit steel wheel smoothies either 18x8 or 20x8. My question is that I need to know the correct rear-end width from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. Speedway motors offers complete rear ends from 60" down to 52" and I want to make sure I buy the correct one. Also would it be a pretty safe idea to go parallel 4link with a watts link? Thank you

Buy wheels and tires that you want. Do what you have to do to shove them under the car. Then measure the width you need. That is the right way to do it. No guessing.

  3. Keep in mind an S10 has a narrower front track than a stock 54. Why not use original frame with modifications?
