Well, here we go again, gotta make a car out of this one... My wife got this 32 hiboy, and me runnibg my mouth, I agreed to make a car out of it....got it from a past 25 year owner...it has "issues"... timing is off, needs plugs... "or something" I take it to the shop, runs like it's not getting fuel.....So my thought diag , needs a fuel pump...probley been in there 25 plus years.... right???... I get it up on the rack.... pump looks new???? sum ting wong here.. unhook the fuel line to the pump from the tank.... gas just drips out.... take off the gas cap... still the same... try to blow compressed air through the line..... plugged...so this tell me some one tried to fix this and failed...Soooooo... out comes the fuel tank... fuel line plugged solid..... pick up tube rusted and rotted... in side of tank rusted...... so call Lenny @ So-Cal speed... need a 32 gas tank... " I'll have one in a couple days".....so it's ordered....
So, as you can see, this hiboy needs help... gonna try to do the.."this has to go" stuff first...wife likes the purple... so thats a plus... the big mickys and rodlites are going first....i've got a few "option" tires and wheels in the shop to get it going...not try'n to make it a traditional build... but gonna go with the era it was built more...my guess is middle 80's judging by the tube axel...the ch***is looks book ordered and ***embled... every thing welded nice, buggy spring rear mounted correct...K member suspension text book done...factory looking fiber gl*** car... I try not to look too hard at the windshield ..... eeek... that'll be a PITA to change... and not cheep....
LOL... I did a braille rub on the "FORD" sticker on the trunk... yes there's a big *** gouge in the paint...
so got the tank out.. tires off... now find out... the rear is ford and the front rotors are chevy bolt pattern...I had some fords... so swapped them out and put on the new tires.. the new tank showed up so it's at the painter ..
so now... get it to a roller... no brakes... fruit jar single master... decided it was done... so new one tomorrow...probley gonna change all that when I can down the road... but wanna get it on it's own go and stop first... it seems to run fine enough off a gas can... find that ouyt soon... painter says 3 days... so next week

SLOW PROCESS... we lost 2 employee's.... and need to hire 4...we are way to busy at the shop to work on my cars so it sits..
progress so far....rotors changed and new tires on..... gas tanks painted and sitting on towels.. car sleeping on the 2 post rack..master cylinder still in the box laying on the ground under the car....
puzzeled..... why did they paint the valve covers purple and put 2 breathers on each side??? were they planing a blower???
So this is where the 32 went I was going to go see it in Fontana but had to work overtime on Monday and she called me and said it sold good deal for the price
