  2. As the old saying goes, just because you can it doesn’t mean you should.

Back in the good old days I believe they judged by workmanship and the number of modifications, not by styling expertise. ;)

I am impressed on how you guys keep coming up with this stuff!
I didn't think it would have been so easy to find so many things that were 'just wrong', but here we are.
Keep posting, I'll keep looking, as long as I don't have to decide which picture shows the one that is the most 'just wrong'.

I kinda miss pre-internet when I didn't know about all these "just wrong" things. :(

Well, there is no rule that you have to look into this thread, you choose to.
Kind of hard to blame the internet because we (include me in that bunch) don't have the will power not to look....
Don't feel too bad about that, its probably the reason most are here, and its probably the reason most are posting pictures of this stuff. Few of us have the will power not to look.

I hear you and this thread is fun, but some of these really make me wonder what in the hell were they thinking. At 70 with four 6 month Westpacs in the Navy and having lived in New York, Florida, San Diego, and Seattle I thought I'd seen just about everything. Apparently not even close.

I suspect the rear end is on air bags that are deflated. Probably had to leave the roof open so he could see to drive it. I bet it looks really strange at driving height.
The intention of building rat rods is to gain attention. Guess this one did that well.

I see 51 Bel Air, 70s/80s Cadillac and a Jag or Daimler grille.

The coach line on the front guards/fenders/wings suggests to my a big old English car from the early to mid 50's.
This would fit with the location as the British influence in Egypt was big in that era.

  20. My first thought was British Humber SuperSnipe but google images did,nt match. Then Yesterday @gatz posted this big old Lincoln Continental in the Craigs List thread.. Front does,nt really match but rear and rear fender near the door look close. Also fixture for sparewheel.

Maybe it got rear ended and the guy bought it back from insurance, or maybe the rear frame rotted away. Fixed it right up! Cheap transportation.
