we travelled FAST and car air was on high

 

Pork is considered "Done" when it reaches an internal temperature of 145F.

Here at the edge of the continental climate zone, it's currently -21 C ,7 F . Odd that Grimshaw has warmer temps, much further north. As Gene pointed out, the wind changes everything. We've had colder 2 weeks ago, -10 F but 20 - 30 mph wind, Lethal!

 

Feel your pain

 

I did by installing an evaporative air conditioner in the workshop- yesterday it was 45 degrees outside (celcius), but I still couldn't stay out there for more than an hour. Then I got the best phone call from a friend- "holiday beer drinking session at the local pub, need ***istance"!

 

Sleet & freezing rain late saturday and most of the day Sunday, this morning the thermometer showed 8 degrees and this is the Sunny South.

Man it is cold! HRP

 

We have been hanging around +10 F all day, but that neighbors flag is standing straight out whipping in the wind.
According to the weather on the computer, the current temp is 10 degrees (F), the wind speed is 15 mph, making the outside temp feel like (formally called the wind chill) -12 F. The sun is shining though... It looks like a nice day outside, from my nice warm living room...

Sorry about the late post...we were outside using the bar-b-que. 71 today.

 

Woke up to 25 this morning in the Texas hill country and that is warmer than it has been the last few mornings. I don't know what the wind chill was. Still have ice on the ground and in the trees. This is NOT why I moved to south Texas 38 years ago!

We got hit with a foot of snow and temps being near 0 or below last few mornings . My drive is about 300 ft long and a steep grade , cleaned it and 2 neighbors , parents live 4 miles away , traveled and cleaned their’s up and food grocery delivery . Got pulled over in the old Power Wagon , “ level 3 snow emergency no one allowed on the road “ I ask him “really where at ?” The old girl will go anywhere on the planet that you can hang on the steering wheel and point her .
