Thanks guys they should work well.

It can be trying and takes a great deal of patience and a steady hand with the TIG torch.

Today was the first outing for the RPU this spring

I spent the better part of the day sorting out little things from the dis***embly for the heads and refinishing the carbs and manifold.

Once I got it running I realized that the rear carb was leaking out of the accelerator pump shaft and after shut down was leaking fuel onto the ****erflies.

The front 2 carbs were working perfectly.
So I removed the top of the carb and adjusted the float level lower and put it back together.

Success  Probably for the first time ever no leaks.
Balanced the carbs and installed the Edmunds air cleaners and went for a little run.

Runs better than it ever has.
    So much fun

I'm so glad you did this thread. Everyone who sees your car will think it is cool but miss a lot of the detail. Those of us who got to see the step by step build will know how cool.

Thanks for posting the link to your thread the other day. I've spent the last 4 days worth of my free time reading every one of the 93 (so far) pages, and thinking as I have before, that I'm going to have a gearheads garage sale, sell everything and take up a new hobby. Like many of the other build threads, you have excelled in taking this project to a very stratospheric level.

And I intend to plaigerize many ideas from you also! Great job

Blue one have you been driving this? How about an update on how things are holding up? Any issues?

I just saw this post since I haven’t been to this page in some time.
Since I got it on the road I had a few minor bugs to sort out a leaky aluminum transmission pan which turned out to be a porous casting that was tricky to stop leaking and a free other little things but so far it’s been a really dependable ride.

Its really a solid driver, the Tim McMaster Y block is strong and there are no steering or suspension surprises it handles really nicely.

Every time I drive it I enjoy it more.

This winter I decided to finish the interior finally after years of driving it with just the seats done.

Looking back I can see how I changed the design. I think it turned out better with the second design.
