Once you are in the car it’s easier to see than you think my ch***is research car is actually pretty easy to see out of when you are in the driver seat I get asked that a lot but it’s not nearly as bad as you would think

Funny thing - I like the rest of the car. It represents a typical altered of the era.
But looking at the header stacks is kinda like looking at a beautiful model with a big blemish on her nose. Hard to get past it.

This one is really wild! Looks like they cut down a four door to build it; I actually like the proportions! Does anyone know anything about it?

That is Jack Ditmars ‘34 Ford coupe, Altered cl*** rules permitted more body modifications than Gas cl*** and Jack took advantage of that. Moving the rear axle forward required changes to the quarters and doors and I’m guessing that’s why you thought it might have been a Fordor body. The ‘34 Ford WB was 112” and it looks like the rear axle might have been moved 12” putting more weight on the rear tires.

Do you think this car can p*** as an altered?
I have been trying to find some rules for this cl*** but not having much luck. I have the 554 coupe in my head for a direction to follow.

I’ve seen a photo of a ‘63 Impala (I think it was) with the front clip removed and naturally that put it into Altered cl***. The extra weight of a car such as yours puts it at a disadvantage. Weight to cubic inches would put your car into a lower cl***, say D/A for example, and unless you modify the firewall for a 25% setback you are giving up that benefit which is allowed by the rules. But a 25% setback gives some issues with steering and the seat also.
If you put the front sheet metal back on it would fall into Gas cl***, you could do a 10% setback if desired and the theme of the car would fit the ‘60’s era better. JMO
