  1. I'm skeptical of the Ford exp. engine. I'm seeing what looks like welding at the front of the engine next to the block. I wonder if it's just valve covers?

You really think Brizio is going to lie about the motor?

I did some digging. It's not an experimental engine, per say. They're experimental heads. On the build photos from Brizio you see the code PR4V. I found an article on another car from a different builder that used the same heads. Text below and link follows:

The phaeton is my favorite, A couple of the roadsters make me think of Boyd right away whatever that means.

The builder of the 37 said he was trying to honour Boyd's work, so that's probably a compliment.

In the original photo for this link, the '37 looks to have a slot in the top of the door for a side window...?? That would mean it is not a roadster. Is it just the picture?

My pick is the Beth Meyers '33. Really would like to know how many hours went into that grill fabrication. Roadster version of Jakes Coupe.

  12. it’s a tie between the 37 and the blue and white 32 for students.
I guess my vote is the tie breaker

Some cars have tops, others don't. Tops just add to the confusion IMO.

in the world of fake motors they should all have a note as to what the motor is.

Agree on this one, Dave Grey built it and while I have not seen the car I know Dave....this one is legit and I bet it could be driven 10,000 miles right now without worry.

That Chavik car is so, so, so cool. I hope someone drives the wheels off that thing.

I'm not sure which photo you're referring to, but it doesn't have side windows. Saw a video the builder posted this morning.

It started as a Wild Rod Factory body. It's a fibergl*** car.

That would be my pic but I really don't care for the black lettering. JMO...

I'm looking forward to seeing more photos of this car. Unless my eyes are playing tricks it looks like it's green with black on the bodylines, but in the Modern Rodding video it almost looks grey. Whatever it is I bet the combo really pops in natural daylight.

The Chavik roadster is an awesome looking car but it my messed up head it doesn't come off to me as beautiful. I think of beautiful as shiny and flashy, so my vote would go to the Baird car.

But to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't kick any of 'em out of my garage.

My impressions of "the best" changed after seeing Brennan's video of the contenders in motion and from different angles.

If you are there let us know if these are roll up door windows, or a shot of the p***enger side door sill.

That looks like the door is open and you’re looking at the rocker/sill area.

I thought the same thing after watching it. Initially I wasn’t crazy about the Fairleigh 33, but seeing it in motion and at different angles, it hit altogether differently. I could see three or four vying for the top spot, but picking a winner from my easy chair is never wise. We’re not there for one, and it’s hard for me to not let personal taste dictate which one I think is best. I’ll leave it up to the judges. Thanks to the op for posting up the photos.

Not sure why this is even being asked? It wouldn't have qualified for the AMBR if it had windows. Nothing has to be confirmed it doesn't have windows or it wouldn't be in the compe***ion.
