  1. Sounds like you'll have an awesome setup. I've moved now down to Gulf Harbour so will probably never see it in person so hope you show lots of photos.

    Update!
The poles and lumber arrive tomorrow. 2 truck loads of it!
We finally have a permit from the council to build, after 3 geotech reports, 87 page engineers report and multiple extra drawings for every imaginable flashing (hence the reason for no windows in the design!)
I have ordered the 3 roller doors, 4 post lift and bought a solid personnel entry door.
All the hardware to get the frame up has been loaded into the shipping container for dry storage until needed.

I have contacted my excavator operator mate and we will be boring holes for the poles and concrete as soon as he is ready. After that we will dig the footings and box up for the slab team to come and sort the mesh etc before they pour the floor.
So if everyone can have a word with whatever deity they believe in and sort out the dry winter the weather gurus have promised, I would appreciate it.
Stay tuned fellas......all hell is about to break loose!

Poles and packets of lumber were dropped off yesterday.
Now I am running around like a dog with 2 ****s!
    IMG20260611103635.jpg

Straight away I set about unbundling the poles and applying a moisture barrier to avoid the poles soaking up moisture when the concrete is poured in the holes. This is to stop the poles swelling and cracking the fresh curing concrete. I have had this happen previously and this method worked on my last shed.

    IMG20260612124707.jpg

Today we cross bore holes for reinforcing bars to p*** through and tie the poles into the concrete.

Basically yes. It is called "flintcoat" designed to coat block walls or cement before back filling with earth to prevent moisture from p***ing through.

My excavator operator arrived this morning and we drilled all the holes for the poles and stood up nearly half of them all.
Finally something out of the ground!
I am absolutely shattered now and will climb into the spa pool and try to dissolve!

Today we stood up the remaining poles and braced them all ready for concrete tomorrow morning at 8am!
I am buzzing and exhausted. Another step closer to having a floor to work on.

I shoveled 40 wheelbarrow loads of dirt to tidy up 2 sides of the floor to make room for the storm water pipe. My excavator operator dropped off 2 loads of aggregate for me to go ahead and bury all of my hard work! A busy weekend ahead!

    Time for another update team.
Most of the framing is done. I have ordered the steel beams and trusses today. Hoping to be framing the roofs by the end of this month.
    IMG20260910170517.jpg
I had to buy more lumber today too!
    IMG20260910120544.jpg
Continuous spouting guy turned up to make the spouting. IMG20260907140141.jpg
Diagonal bracing in the high walls done.
    IMG20260909150829.jpg
Getting there! One stick at a time!
