Greetings, I've managed to **** into a couple of threads so far without an intro, mea culpa I'm in the middle of an old Land Rover re-power project (TBI 350) right now, but I'm thinking that she'll need something to tow when completed, so I'll hang out here for a while in my spare time - yeah, right. Hot Rods? A buddy and I built a '36 Chev p/u in high school / college. We intended to restore it, but found a freeze cracked block, bad trans, etc .... and heck, we had an entire 4-door '56 Chev behind the barn ... naturally, the 283 and the '56 rear end found their way under the '36 .. what the hell did we know It was fun and we ended up trading it for a '70 Duster race car that never had a ***le or a VIN ... it got a SBC with a 6-71... and a license plate... and was actually a Car Craft cover car once ... crazy. West Des Moines .... but I lived in Riverside, CA as a little kid We used to sneak under the fence and watch the races ... yeah, I'm old. Riverside raceway has been gone for years!
