IMG_3163.jpeg IMG_3162.jpeg Been wanting to get this out of the yard at the house since November for a winter project. Finally had some time and extra help today to bring it into the garage.

It's easy to see the influence the Marlin's dash had on the AMX the following year in '68

Probably not a favorite around here, but have a ls motor for it. Do a new wiring harness throughout the car. Interior is still nice and I like the flower s***ching in the seats, everything works in it. So I don’t really have to mess with that. Needs a new top though. Not a big fan of the color. Do a jet black base, mid coats with orange, red, gold pearls. Give it some color transitioning. Me and dad have been doing yearly road trips. Just make it a reliable fun car for that mainly and some car event trips. Still have to finish Route 66, started a section of the Lincoln highway. Want to do the Jefferson highway and some others.

  16. Update from page 28. Front fender, wheel and tire on. Rear shocks replaced, made a new taillight harness. Picking up rear wheel from the shop as I sent it out for mounting and balancing. Small parts order from J&P coming in today with the rear fender strut hardware, once it arrives I’ll bolt on the rear fender after it gets a bit warmer out.

My eBay 1982 Michigan license plate is here, will register it as a historic vehicle. Found that our state law has changed, no restrictions on use between Memorial Day and Labor Day, any real riding my 02 Electra Glide will do.

aiming for first of March to be all back together.

Working on owner/operators more so than vehicles.
    04 Indimidator S/C SS.
Finally got tires on the car right after the first rains, I guess he found out how bad 15+year old bald tires handle :D
Still refused to replace engine mounts.

Get a call today, 'red' fluid leaking from car.
'I think it's the PS leaking.'
    No, that's rusty water.
    'How?'
Did you ever replace the mounts?
    'No.'
Warm it up, go for a drive down the street and come back, don't turn it off.

Inspected when cold and noted the rad and hoses were replaced in the past, but I suspected the plastic tank had failed from stress failure. Too gunky to see where the active leak was.

He gets back, pop the hood and gently pull on the upper rad hose, instantly a spray of water and steam emit from a crack at the hose ****** to tank.
Now, you get to order a new radiator with those engine mounts you should have bought three months ago.

On the uptick, he did order mounts, rad, hoses, thermostat and a water pump.

He's learning, in a brutal fashion.

  23. @lumpy 63 I agree on the "ugliness" of the LS, but after having TJ working in my shop the last few months, I'm leaning lol. I think I'm gonna put a carbureted 6.0 in my 39 ford. Throw a camshaft in it and make good horsepower

The Bluetooth speaker I used while driving my 57 Fairlane quit working. So I’ve watched a few YouTube videos on installing a Bluetooth amp in stock radios . So I went to hacking up the radio . Removing stuff to make room for the BT amp I. I also ground a hole in the bottom of 2 of the vacuum tubes and glued dark yellow led bulbs in them . To give a glowing effect of the tubes .
