I have 1999 Caddy Deville power seats I would like to put into my 1950 Chevy 2 DR deluxe. The seats have all the bells n whistles, (heat, lumbar, memory, etc) which I do not need. I really just want front/back and recline forward/back so someone can get into the back seat. I was able to figure out the p***enger seat no problem. The driver's is another story. because memory is involved and the Caddy seat switch is on the doors ( I do not have), the wiring is totally different that the p***enger seat.
Has anyone out there done this and is so do they have any info or wiring diagrams they can share?

    Thanks, in advance.................

Did something similar, only older stuff. I pulled all wiring out and flashed hot wires on motor leads, got enough working.

There more likely a ECU in seat
Probably in the switch controllers ,
    Look for Oem Service manual
How about Removing the OEM switch
    & add a earlier Model switch control's
    Wire as needed .

Each seat has an under the seat module/control board including motor direction relays. I was able to find some partial wiring diagrams online. The p***enger one is straight forward since there is no memory function and the wired switches on the door directly control seat motion by providing a ground for each motor direction. ( I only have the seats and partial harness, no switches but I can add switches.) The drivers seat module is different due to memory and seat position sensors. I'm guessing and there must be another module (ECU) up by the drivers door seat "switches" that "talks" to the seat module via signals since there are only a few wires to do that. maybe I can find a drivers seat module on Ebay that does not have memory functions or use a p***enger one and wire it up.

CANbus? I am thinking it must because there looks like there were only a few wires to control the drivers seat position vs multi for the p***enger side.

    @261bomb ,
Myself I donot find complete wiring diagrams on line Like I had Access to @
A Shop that we had Direct connection with GM ,just one manufacture we even had Ferrari direct connection.
( I know on line, just can not find )
just a thought might talk with shop, $10-20 print out
To get a compleat wire diagram from start of Circuit to seat , I refer to flow sheet. Generic version's Mitchell on demand ect.

Get another p*** side seat module, & swap out the oem dr side, rewire so both sides are the same? ???

Personally, I really learned to like the memory & other functions(esp lumbar-seat-heat), due to different needs of myself n wife. It's nice not having to readjust each time...
Don't know iffen this'll help, but yes, complicated computers are involved, all talking w/each other. Fwiw, the seats I swapped into my XUV from an upscale Envoy, work fine once I used the correct dr-side door-panel-switch-set, but the memory doesn't. I do believe it is in another computer. But wiring in the seat computer(which controlled both front seats) was easy, plug n play, w/the correct factory(stock) connectors. Only had a heavy fused power in, & a ground to make sure things worked. Haven't swapped in the little second computer yet, but I'd guess it might need some sort of "convincing/programming". & since the frame rotted out, it's no longer a priority.

    Marcus...
