Well folks, we are packing our hotel room to get ready to head back to snow on the ground. Booooooooooo But we did put up two videos from the show this weekend. It was literally two full days of walking the show to cover it all. Yes there are some non HAMB cars in the videos, but if you know me, you know I focus on stuff that visually fits in here. Video 1 is all of the indoor cars : 2026 Grand National Roadster Show Day 1 video 2 is everything we saw out doors: 2026 Grand National Roadster Show Day 2 It was interesting to see so many styles this year. Two of the AMBR contenders would have looked right at home 20 years ago. I sure hope that style isn’t going to have a nostalgic comeback. But on the other hand if the stuff that we all like gets less desirable, maybe some younger folks can have an easier entry into hot rodding. In the end, I do all of this to encourage as many people as possible to get into traditional rods & customs, because I have gained some great friends and car family from it and want others to get that same thing. Go drive the wheels off em and I’ll see you at a show. T
I’ve always wanted to make this show. But never had the opportunity. Thanks for the videos. Great cars.
Great coverage, you got a good eye. Your comment about the styles we like becoming less desirable is something I'm hearing from potential buyers who say my traditional Henry deuce highboy is to far from today's highboy styles. They may be right although we built a bare metal, Flathead powered deuce highboy roadster a couple months ago and it sold within 24 hours of being listed. Hard to outguess the buying public.
Buyers can be so finicky. I really enjoy seeing people make definitive predictions about the state of the hot rod world and then things go the other way. I wish I could predict the trends!
You’re welcome and thank you. It’s truly my hope that a few folks will watch these videos and decide to go next year.
