A shining example of what the roots of this lifestyle is suppose to be about and how to live it correctly.

Excellent writing and a plot that Steven King would kill for.

    Another alcohol induced adventure

its always been my opinion that when drunk, people do things that they really want to do.

You guys bring back memories of our group. One memory is running around in Cincinnati during the
Pumpkin run. Downtown full of beer driving cars in the middle of town racing and lighting up our flamethrowers and hiding from the police. From there we took over the hotel lobby. Sliding empty boxes of 12 packs onto our feet and walking all over the place like that.
Who’s that guy behind that redacted picture?

Great story. We need more people like you. At 80 yrs. old, I still don't have a need to conform.
    I genuflect to you.

Let's just say I have done some things that have been fueled by youth and alcohol-induced wisdom.

I've since learned don't commit two crimes at once.

    Very rarely drink now. ;)

Man, you had me rolling reading through this mostly because it sounds like some of the crazy stuff me and some of my buddies have also done over the years. Thanks for sharing the story. I felt like I was right there with you.:D

Oh, and in case you all think these sort of things ended with earlier generations... I have a story how my two boys got pulled over on a golf cart driving it on a state highway and then my oldest boy almost running over my younger boy when the cops left and he decided to go ahead and run for it. This was when they were both about 13 or 14. It seems we may p*** this stuff on.

    Great story!
Alcohol has always played a major role in my 55 years of hot rodding...one drunken night at the Wheels of Time, Rod & Custom Car Jamboree. I musta "mooned" 200 people...or so I'm told:eek:.

I have gotten far more cavalier about the laws I break as I get older, which is either wisdom or a complete disregard for consequences, depending on who is doing the judging. It has caused me a fair amount of grief along the way, but that is the price of admission. The cost of doing business. The tuition you pay when you decide to learn things the hard way instead of reading the rule book and nodding along.
