I forgot to say that my dad, who is pictured in my avatar, used to use the saying , "sloicker than snot on a door knob " as well.

  5. "Monkey motion" for an unnecesary steering system. For points; really?

It is to include the popular cowl steering (race car part, don't ya know) and have the drag link better aligned with the suspension to avoid bump steer.
I do kind of agree with you that it ends up looking less form = function and more Rube Goldberg.

Glad to see the winner! All I saw were the fine photos and videos, so nowhere close to being able to judge, let alone qualified!

Thanks to the H.A.N.B. members who take such great pictures and videos of this and so many other events during the year. The KKOA shows, vintage drags, round ups etc. that capture the spectrum of the hobby.

2026 Edition. Several highlights of walking the show on Friday. The guys in front of us in line being from Japan. Three 50 something year old dudes with resto shops in Japan doing American stuff. Conversations with some exceptionally friendly, awesome people. Highly recommend it. Oh, and the paint reflection pic tradition. PXL_20260130_212139327.NIGHT~2.jpg

I also liked the Silver Sapphire since I was a kid. Glad I got to see it in person too. Here's a link with more pic's of it: https://customrodder.forumactif.org...-silver-sapphire-clarence-catallo-s-1932-ford

First time seeing that kind of set up, then seeing it twice was very shocking to me as a relative newb. Still undecided if it adds or detracts to overall look, but that’s kind of a moot point now. lol!

Reminds me of the phase (fad?) of a chain drive in the steering.
