Jordan - always appreciate seeing your work - unique and well executed.

Question - on the signals are you casting your own lenses too?

  2. I’ve thought about a Bennetts version. Something might be on the cards!

  3. Lens are a cast from an original gl*** percolator lens- poly king does those for me!

Nice work mate! Those indicators look great, I've got a collection of wide 5 parts for a one day project. It always interested me that the inner nuts were a 5.5" on 5" pcd,
There was a well known SA hot rod, a purple 35/6 coupe (can't remember the owners name) built as a highboy & those hub parts were chromed, gave it a 5 spoke mag look.

I'll try to find a photo, you'll know the car. From memory the rims were chromed too. With chrome backing plates it would look outrageous!

  11. Managed to sneak a few days in and get a few things ticked off. One was shortening my copper br*** Walker radiator I’ve had for several years now. I was a difficult task but one I was willing to try and was confident I’d be able to successfully remove 2” of core and re solder everything back together.
Job done! - I did do a tech article on this as well.

Next I finished the hubs prepping them for paint and ***embly but couldn’t help my self in rolling it out side for a look into 2026.
Time to get this thing finished before I channel it and stick and olds motor in it…..

  14. Got the 32 grill fixed. This girl was part of a trade. Apparently the jack slipped off the axle and the chin of the grill took the force. It was so badly bent in every direction-m. I used the jig I made to repair the damaged 32 grill a while back. I then cut and sectioned it 2”. Aswell as the stainless trim and added a small radious to the bottom side.
Motor is pulled and off the the machine shop to get it dipped and x rayed.

  17. Sunday fun day in the shop today- it was 35 degrees and warm as hell in the shop but managed to get a few items done.
Since shortening the catwalk 2 1/4” inches and moving the upper quarters back I needed to fill the gap for the extension.
I used body filler to give myself a good clean profile. This seems to work a lot better in my option vs a profile gauge, and you get to keep the mold for later.
the box is made from cardboard s**** and I whip the inside with wd40 to allow it to release.

First time using Delrin. And it worked pretty good. It was a lot faster than a steel gauge set.

I would still love to use a die filling machine. I believe these would work really well and speed up the process too.

anyways into the hammer it went and first shot on the test piece it came out pretty good. I’m only using half the profile but thought it would’ve good to try the whole thing. I will try and sharpen the dies slightly to crisp up the edges but will definitely do the trick, more to come!

Just watching one of your vids from a year ago on hot rod steering setup. I see you got some new equipment including that hammer machine. Very nice!
Next is a CNC plasma machine like Karl’s. Haha!

Apologies for not soaking up every post here. I shall, sometime.

Wow plastic dies, didn't see that one coming but can appreciate the ease of forming for single or very low use pieces. Neat stuff.
