The great TRJ famine of 2026 is spreading, a plethora of citys in South Carolina,Canada,Oklamoha,Iowa,California,Missouri & West Virginia seem to have zones where the subscribers are not receiving the Holy Graile of rod & custom magazines there are probably many more of you guys still checking the mailbox daily. HRP
Keep the faith, Danny. Mine was a couple of weeks late. Yours may be a couple of months but it will get there.
Historically, you're clearly not a TRJ fan. Yeah, it's not ideal. At all. But, limping along with some people getting tardy issues is better than no one getting anything at all.
Unlike last weekends ice storm we are getting snow this weekend here in the Sunny South, and the mailman is making his appointed rounds, but like last Saturday no Rodders Journal found it's way to my mailbox, at least the driver is having fun in the snow. We have bananas, and no magazine. Did stop and chit chat with the mail lady though. She said none of her other hot rodders on the route have got there’s either lol. Guess I’m not the only one who’s mentioned it
I just sent a message to the Rodders Journal Customer service, third time, December 5, January 1 and February 2. HRP
Well it ****s, but in the immortal words of Monty Python "Always look on the bright side of life" 1) The regular walks to your letterboxes are good for your health 2) Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so when the TRJ arrives it will be a day of celebration 3) Its still a great magazine
But that's what the entire problem has been for several years, right? Is it actually "still a great magazine" if it doesn't even ever show up in your mailbox?
Fair point. I get my TRJs via a hot rod shop here in New Zealand as they are TRJ distributors, and they cost me about NZ$50 each (US$30) delivered to my home. I guess because I get an email when Magoo gets his allocation, theres no risk for me in non-delivery, but I do pay a bit more for my magazines.
The mailbox was empty again today, I am really looking forward to having some new reading material, especially since we installed lighting for night time maneuvers, eventually we are adding heat! HRP
Still waiting on #87 to be delivered, besides TRJ high quality paper is entirely to slick to subs***ute as TP. HRP
When I was in college I dated a girl who grew up in the Ozarks. She said in grammar school each student was required to bring in a Sears/Wards catalog with their name printed on it...that was their T.P. for the semester. She also said it was the teacher's responsibility to remove the "ladies underwear" pages from the boys TP catalogs.
I find it funny that you're all bashing the magazine when their booth is at GNRS this year. Kind of hard to rip people off when they are standing right there. Did you talk to them at the booth? Did you send an email to the customer service email address? Just imagine how many emails they get a day, and how you try to answer them all while more responses come back and new emails arrive every day. How many magazines are still trying to make it? The amount of adversity that has happened to this magazine, all others would have folded by now, and they have. My recommendation is to send an email or personal message through the Facebook page with all the information you can provide, then sit back and wait for a response. TRJ would not have shown up at GNRS with a booth fully staffed if they were not trying to make everyone happy and fulfilled.
@HOTRODRON If I was there & Even that I have received 87 I would of asked Questions for others & myself , & reported back here .. My self I sent over 15 emails in year , one a week or by weekly With No response back except around October November 2025 for New generic adverti*****t subscription to purchase Even that I am a LTM , It was for my father he was not a LTM. But not one Email regarding my LTM .. after I received the 87 4 ish so weeks ago , I Then received a reply that address was on file & correct & still in there data as a LTM
Believe me Ron, I am not bashing TRJ, I am just poking the bear about delivery and the mail service, I am a big supporter of TRJ and wish them nothing but longivity & success, I have notified them several times about not recieving the latest issue. Sh!t happens in every business, many times when dealing with the USPS things get lost or ends up being delivered to the wrong address. I am a loyal Lifetime subscriber. HRP
I would hardly say anyone’s bashing the magazine on this thread recently. The product when it does manage to appear is good. At this point we are all just having a laugh at six months of the occasional “it’s in the mail” emails while most of the country hasn’t seen a copy of the quarterly magazine in 16 months. Any bashing was mostly over six years ago when this became the standard communication protocol of the magazine. If this was in any way surprising maybe there would be bashing, but it’s not. We know it’s going to be over a year between issues, we know our subscriptions will be honored the best they can be, and when it does eventually show up it will be a great publication. You can’t get to upset that in the midst of all this some guys are having fun posting memes about stalking their mail box deliveries.
BINGO! BTW, The postman always rings twice or so I am told. But not if he don't stop in front of your house, today he didn't. HRP
I've got my last few issues fairly quickly since they came back but this time its been a bit longer than usual....so I re-upped for 2 more years because I figured my subscription finally expired. Keep the faith gentlemen.
I certainly don't understand how Steve runs his business. After several reports of people receiving #87 and Ryan's column in mid December, I signed up again plus bought a back issue (#86 I believe). In a week or so, I received #86. Two months later, no #87. If the damned thing has been printed, which it has, I don't understand why so many people haven't gotten it yet. Is it because he's having to print them in small batches due to credit/financial problems? He's not forthcoming on why and that leaves everyone speculating. Great publication, terrible way to run a business.
