    Just found this on facebook:

With a heavy heart, I want to share that my dad, Ed Iskenderian, is currently in ho****e care. Our family is spending this time together, holding him close and surrounding him with love.

We truly appreciate the kindness, prayers, and support so many of you have already shown. At this time, we ask that you please hold off on calls to my dad and our family, as we’re focusing on being present with him.

Messages, thoughts, and love are deeply felt and appreciated. Thank you for understanding and for keeping our family in your hearts during this time.

I can’t help but wonder how many people he has influenced over the years. The article in HotRod about him and his roadster impressed me as a young man. He needed to round up a battery and fuel after digging the roadster out. Then he fired it up and took it out for a drive . How cool is that!

The Cam Father and Jim Brierley at the Nebraska Speedster meet a few years ago.
I went to Isky in the early 80s to get a cam for my 409. He was in his office and heard what I wanted. He came out and took me into his office to explain that my M/T dual quad cross ram wouldn't like my choice of cams. He explained what I needed then said I don't have one - but go over here they have it in stock. I never could figure out how he kept his customers inventory memorized. I spoke to him last at the Hot Rod/In-N-Out 70th anniversary. He was watching his son park his T in the tent. Still sharp as ever.

Met him at Detroit Autorama years ago. What a genuinly nice guy. He listened to my ramblings about flatheads and answered all my stupid questions. He's one of the good ones.

What more can one say. He helped build this hobby and industry. What a great man. Never got the opportunity to meet him and that is my loss.

A man most worthy of the Mt.Rushmore of hotrodding, if there ever was one. What a great life to have impacted so many in your chosen path. Helluva run Ed, helluva run.
    Thank you for that
