I've looked at a lot of flathead parts in the last past year and I've never heard of one. Your going to need a electric fuel pump and the back hole is your breather/oil fill neck.

This is a readily available part at any swap meet, on ebay or just thru a wanted ad on the HAMB. The part you are looking for is a fuel pump stand for a 34-48 ford. If you purchase a used one make sure that the threads for the fuel pump mount have not been stripped out, they need to be good to bolt on the fuel pump or a block off plate. Price for used one should be less than $25.00.

Make sure the base isn't warped too, it's a common problem

Isn't there a different fuel pump pushrod length??

Please dis-regard this guy's post. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Go to www.fordbarn.com and place a want ad. You'll have a ton of replies..........Mike

The pushrod length issue has to do with the intake manifold(valve chamber cover in FordSpeak).
Cast iron manifolds use 8.87" long, aluminum manifolds use 7.87", 8BA and later longer than that.

Of course you'll need the high rise version if you have a high rise intake.:D

Check the height of a stock iron manifold at the fuel pump stand boss.
Compare to aftermarket aluminum manifold you are using.
The Ford specification on aluminum manifolds means stock Ford aluminum manifolds.

I bought an NOS one from Joe's Antique Ford Parts as few years back. I don't have their number handy. I would ***ume they would pop up in a Google search. Anyway, he said he had lots of them and it was +/- $18.00.

I would also call JobLot in Jamica Queens, NY for I'm sure he'd have NOS ones as well.

    Good luck.

I'm not sure how much room you have for the stand with 3 carbs. but I bought my fuel pump stand from Vern Tardel, alliance vender for the HAMB ($16.00) before alliance member discount.

SF flatheads and Tardel both sell new French ones, apparently same dimensionally as regular Ford.
Warping at base is important...pushrod movement is very small and a warp can cancel out most of that.
Speaking VERY roughly, I am at work with no parts handy, I'd say manifold for short rods is on the order of magnitude of one inch, long rod manifold about 2 inches. All '49-53 are the tall sort, same height as early tall ones.

Just to muddy the waters a little, here are 2 pre war Eddie Meyers intakes that would require different length push rods using the same fuel pump stand. I don't have any answers. It's just an observation that was only noticed with the intakes side by side.

I have a very nice early oil fill breather with the fuel pump blocked of with a polished finned plate, and new breather cap on it........if you cannot find a suitable one please PM me with your e-mail address and I will send you a few pics........I would let it go for $40 if you like what you see......
