It sure looks legit to me. Maybe it has some recent upgrades, like the bead-rolled firewall, a mechanical fuel pump (most used a presurized tank w/ hand pump), and hood.
I loove the seat and cord wrapped steering wheel, and other vintage details. Check out the soldered? fuel line for example.

    Questions:

Is that an alternator? Newer bolt and washers?

    Hose clamps look newer.

Teflon tape on the carb fuel inlet?

Brake backing plates dont look Ford?

Plastic wire loom on spark plug wires?

Im not picking it apart, just trying to decifer the story.

Yeah. Me too. Looks like a V8-60 for sure, but trans is really weird looking and very long.

It's Portuguese. This guy is based in Divinopolis, Brazil. Interesting find by this guy, found in Argentina, makes sense since racing has a tradition there. Firewall says Workshop, The Brothers. I can't make out the City.

Brakes could be mechanicals converted to juice and drilled to oblivion.

Top of the firewall says taller. The rest I can’t figure out but pretty sure it’s not English

You see that word "Taller" all over the place in Mexico on roadside repair shops. I think it means "expert", tire repair...car repair etc. How do you lengthen a sector shaft? cut and weld?

I had a similar thought, or possibly staged somewhat, can't put my finger on it but it doesn't quite seem right. I think it's a legit car and very cool but something seems off ......really like to know more

Taller is workshop. Could be automotive, service station, etc.

IMG_0088.jpeg IMG_8952.jpeg Here is a couple my uncle built in the Philippines after the war. The photos were taken sometime in the early 60s. The gal is his daughter Edna and her name is on one of the cars
