I try not to pick on people's cars, but WOW.
Swap in some longer lug studs for your full bodied, blown track car!

No, it's cool. I would bet the wheels were a late add on and he didn't have time to change the studs before getting it loaded and hauled to the show. I probably woulda put some chrome closed end lug nuts on it so it wouldn't show and then changed the studs later after the show.

Comp rules often require open lug nuts to visually verify that the stud protrudes out of the lug nut.

He was at Donut Derelicts this morning. That’s one nasty sounding blown Ardun flatty. He was pleasant to talk to after the crowd dispersed.

There was an awful lot of “shiny” cars in the suede palace this year….

I knew he was going, and I figured you would be there to see it.

Yeah, that's true. It seems like the focus of the Suede Palace has shifted from non finished to finished cars of traditional era style. Which is not a complaint from me, I really dig that building and am glad it's there and that Axle runs it like he does. Still, I wish there was a place for the suede cars somewhere in that show, but I don't know where they would put them. Maybe expand the Suede Palace collection out into the Mexican Village area, and restrict it to suede paint styles. I don't know, again I'm not complaining here, just thinking out loud. That whole area up there around the Suede Palace is my favorite part of the show. It's where I feel most comfortable. Where I see people I know. Where I like to hang out.
