Does anyone off hand know what front seat will bolt up in a 1950 Merc coupe? Preferably a bench seat.

Bolt up, as in no mods? I’d guess any front seat from a 49-51 tudor Merc. Maybe the same year baby Lincoln if you are lucky.

  4. Are you in need of a Factory 2 door front seat? Nothing else is easier than a stock one. 01-01-27 009.jpg

  10. This seat is as nice as I have ever seen. Still has factory paint on the frame work. [IMG]
The springs are still in the factory burlap wraps.

The frame mounts to the floor with 4 pins that fasten it to the floor brackets. The factory upholstery is intact under the top upholstery. I pulled a few staples at one time to verify what I was told. I'd be more than glad to take more photos of the framework and under side of the seat cushion. [IMG]
I don't know the actual condition of the factory cloth. The seat sit's well. The glid part works fine and the Chrome on the stock handle is pretty good. I have 2 spaces at the April Swap Meet in Portland Oregon and am planning on it being in the parts load going there. The swap meet price is $600.oo. I removed the seat out of an extremely nice mild custom for a Customer and installed bucket seats and a console. With a light shampoo job, the upholstery can be use as is. I adjusted his labor bill and kept the seat. I know how to ship large parts and willing to help on my end. If you are coming North to the swap meet shipping wouldn't be an issue.
