Think I figured out my situation, noticed that excess fuel from the accel. pump squirts landing on top of the throttle plates ran down and out of the throttle shaft. I ***ume that there's some sort of vac leak there that is probably causing the issues in the carb. I knew it had maybe 2mm of play in the throttle shaft, but ran it anyway. I'll just ream it out to accept an oversize shaft and that may solve the problem. I did spray ether around the carb body to check for vac leaks, but I guess I somehow missed or didn't notice this one.

On the hunt for a 1-2" carb spacer to get the throttle arm geometry squared away and get this disgusting temporary linkage I cobbled together off of there.

  2. Rick over at Noble Speed Equipment makes some for both 97s and Holley 94s. He's a one man shop and does great work!

  7. No throttle pedal or starter doodads unfortunately. Since I've got a '32 B Starter on the shelf, I'm considering using the 32 style pull-cable. I'm curious if there's room for me to use a cut-down s**** pedal of sorts..

Eventually! I've gotta find some RHD 32-34 spindles for my drop axle first!

This turned up in a box of literature yesterday. Just one page from an unknown magazine.

I've probably got a spare centre throttle ***y if you can't find one locally. & could probably get a cross over for the starter doofer. i'm looking for some rhd 32-34 spindles myself  so can't help there.

17714254647103994462627816916533.jpg gonna fuse each headlight filament, in the headlight bucket of the Vicky....on multiple occasions I have had a socket prong short to the socket housing ground (earth) and if all the lighting is on one fuse....all lights go dark...too much excitement and stress for this old man....
If the car is on one master fuse, a popular way to address the non fused, stock configuration, everything goes dark and the engine dies.....
I'll see how this works out.....but I'm liking it in my head as long as I don't put a larger fuse on each filament circuit than the master fuse

you'd think living in Australia I'd be able to find some 32-34 RHD stub axles!.... I''ve got a couple of pairs of 35/6 & was planning on using a slingshot steering arm, so I'm probably ok..... but thankyou.
