[ QUOTE ] boyds gay. does he still wear the same shirts? [/ QUOTE ] He always wears Hawaiian shirts and a baseball cap WITH HIS NAME ON IT, and rides around on a little scooter like old people who can't walk do.
CADDYMAN, Boyd used top know how to build cars (with his own hands). Cole IS building cars with his own hands. Is there any doubt who would win in a hands on contest? They could always blindfold Cole and tie one of his hands behind his back. That way Boyd could at least finish a distant second. Frank
The only reason I even turn on the TV is to watch those New Detective shows and the American Chopper/Hot Rod and Monster Garage... but then again, I have three hot rods that run and drive. Sam.
you guys are crazy, the best show on TV is the extreme challenge from Japan on Spike. there's not even a close second.
I never said it had to be fair, plus just like in those biker build offs, it would be interesting to see two builders w/ different styles going at it

Don't you guys know anything??? It's "MXC" or "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" And it IS the best show EVER...
You've got it sussed, Ryan! The scoots are as ugly as they are poorly finished, but the show is a hoot! I've seen only a half-dozen or so episodes and I've yet to see the old man do a thing other than piss and moan about the poor housekeeping in the shop and threaten the non-family help with unpaid days off. What a piece of work he is. I love it!
I don't know if most people know it but Pa Tuetel of American Choppers started out before opening OC Choppers, by owning and running a non union iron fabrication shop (like fabrication of I-beams and steel parts for office buildings). I understand it is located next to or near the Chopper shop. I have only seen a couple of shows, but did see the one when they were finishing the "blackhawk helicopter" bike. I was watching it at a friends house and there were a couple of guys there who used to build show quality choppers in the late 60's and early 70's. When the son went to put a peak in the front fender by welding a piece of angle iron to the steel repro fender, one of the old time MC builders commented: "There they go, building another 600 to 700 pound "chopper". To most guys around the Northeast, the whole family act is nothing new. There are more than a few family businesses up here in fields like: sheet metal shops, auto body shops, machine shops, masonry contractors, painting contractors, and road paving contractors, where the father and sons scream/swear at each other and are at each other's throats ALL THE TIME.
