I am building a 3w highboy running 7.50 x 16 on 4.5 ford steelies. Looks like I have to go with a new 9" housing/axles so I would like to hear what you 33/34 folks are running for width wms to wms. Thank you.

Depending on the offset of the wheels, 56-57 inches is typical.

Lately I’ve been drawn to the rear tires fitting tightly on highboys. I’d suggest propping your exact wheels and tires up against the body, and measuring the exact distance between them. Then you can get the specific look you are wanting.

I've got a 40 ford axle, what ever width that is. 750's on 5" pickup wheels, looks fine to me.

It depends on what you want to run for wheels and tires. Tall skinny’s and 40 ford steel wheels will be too close to the body with a narrow rear. A 40 Ford banjo is 59.25” wide.

This one was 56, but definitely put your tires/wheels where you want them and measure the distance just to make sure.

Here is a better shot of the body to tire gimmick. Pretty sure these were 16X5s with like a 7.50 or something? I might be full of **** just a tiny bit on the tire size. I thought they landed about right in the wheel well, but your mileage may vary.
