Event Coverage Visiting LA / Pomona after Bonneville

Couple of Aussies coming to the States for Bonneville in August but then spending a week in LA / Pomona area afterwards...... we have done the "regular" stops before and will probably visit them again such as Moon, Stokers, Socal, V8 Store, Pomona swap meet but what other HAMB friendly hidden gems or events are going on that we should check out ? Events or shops ?? we are there from the 11th to 17th August. Thanks Guys - any help much appreciated.

I too visited Pomona(from Texas 10 yrs ago) on Sunday and attended ElMirage on the prior Saturday. The pics show a sampling of both places.

 

I second the Lions Dragstrip Museum! I was very impressed when I went a couple years ago.

 

Stick around another week. GoodGuys West Coast Get Together is Aug 19-23. They do shop tours early in the week and you can always visit Brizio and Ganahl. Highway 1 is open, a great drive up the coast.
